SEND Reform Parent/Carer Questionnaire

*Sharing on behalf of Walsall Council

We are working with partners and families to develop our future approach to supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Walsall. This is part of national SEND reform, which is looking at how support can be improved so that children and young people:

  • get the right help at the right time
  • can have their needs met as early as possible
  • are supported in their local school or setting wherever appropriate

The reforms also explore how:

  • support in mainstream schools can be strengthened
  • access to specialist services can be improved
  • local provision and school places can better meet need

We know families have a wide range of experiences when accessing support. Understanding what is working well and what could be better is an important part of this process.

We want to hear from you as part of this work. Your experiences and views will help shape our thinking and future plans.
